Orange
Pizza
New York
Horses
Orange
Round and spotty,
Yellow and red,
Green too,
Thick or thin
Hard crust or
soft,
Triangles in the
rough,
Surrounded in orange,
Like the shirt
Covering his
strong,
Manly chest,
He picks up that
slice
Strings fall from
it,
Reaching out for
their,
Friends left
behind,
His jaw lowers,
His tongue
slithers,
Like a baby,
With the plane,
The spoon hovering
above,
Its mouth,
That piece,
That has him
Salivating at the
mouth,
Lands deep inside
that cave,
He crunches, and
he munches,
Checking to see
how much is left,
How many pieces
they will all get,
And if he eats
fast enough,
How many he can
steal from the rest.
That apple,
Its giant,
It’s even bigger
than James,
And his enormous
peach,
It’s big, and
juicy,
Waiting for a
bite,
It’s sticky
nectar,
Flowing out,
Like a flood,
Coming off the
mountains,
Saturating all the
ground,
Below them,
That apple,
It’s big,
And it’s red,
And there he is,
Right at its core,
He walks and he
stares,
There’s a lady,
Over twenty foot
tall,
She’s a bit too
high,
And a little too
old,
For him to take
out on a date,
Besides, with her
And all her metal elegance,
Where could he
take such a lady?
And where would
she put her flowers,
When she’s
carrying that torch,
Lighting the
paths,
The concrete
shells,
And igniting that
flame,
Deep within him,
He, dreams of her,
On that long trek,
Just him and her,
Others may have
been near,
At his rear,
Or at his front,
Cars,
May have cruised past,
And people may
have gazed,
In pure surprise,
Yet,
There he was with
her,
All alone,
Trekking as one,
The air shared,
Their bodies
molded
Joined at the hip,
With a twist here
A nip there,
They were in sync,
Striding in
motion,
He was home,
He had her,
She had him,
Together, they
made that body,
All who saw,
Were jealous of,
And when they
parted,
Every night,
She was left with
a tear,
And he with a
heavy heart,
Waiting,
And anticipating,
The next day,
When they would
together again,
In the fresh air,
The countryside
passing before them,
Their friends
riding near,
And that grin,
That changes the
traffic lights
From a red to a
green.
