The Easter Raffle
I am yellow and thin
Coated in black lipstick.
I am like a black sheep, in a flock of white,
There can be only one,
Or two if you’re lucky enough!
I offer you chocolate and wine,
A basket full of brown eggs,
Surrounding a tall green bottle.
I am a gamble, but so is the chicken and the road.
I hear your pockets jingle,
They sing a song that only loose change can make.
I ask for little but a donation,
That will bring a smile to an empty playground.
And a book to a vacant desk.
descriptive writing assignment, i remember at the time, my classmates said it was a little sexual, but it was about my mates kids school raffle lol!
