Her Smile
Her smile is
Hotter than a January day at the beach
With the blue sky that meets the ocean in the horizon
And the white crests of the waves lap against the sand
As a group of kids play cricket,
The batsman sprays sand as he slides the bat between stumps.
In the afternoon when,
The sun beats down on the tanned bodies that smother
Wind blown towels
With the near naked figures bounce around in the ocean,
While the surfers lie on their boards waiting for
The one wave to lift them up
And carry them back to shore.
Her smile is the fish that I catch
While I sit there with my rod,
Hour after hour
Waiting for the bait to be taken.
When the sandcastles
Melt away
As the incoming tide
Eats away at the base
And the wind tears away its roof.
Her smile
Brings to my stays
And heats my day.
Her smile brings enough warmth
To pick me up from a muddy August day
Making my January day,
Everyday that she is near.
creative writing assignment,
ReplyDeleteonly my second A+ i ever got, but to me it was worth a C, i described the situation well, and in that sense, its quite good, January in NZ is summer lol!
but it has no feeling in it, so thats why i didnt like it too much.
I like to have feeling in what i write ^^
