If I were a girl

this is not ameant to be a pisstake on 'If I were a boy', but I wrote this song because someone I knew really liked 'If I were a boy' so I wanted to write it from a boys perspective, for her, so here it is:

If I were a girl, even just for a night.
I’ld look at the mirror in the evening,
And think, damn I’m hot.
And go drink champayne with the girls.

And flirt with the guys.
I’ld flick it with whoever I wanted,
And I’d never get confronted for it,
Cause they’d defend me.

If I were a girl,
I think I couldn’t understand
How it feels to love a man.
I swear I’ld be a better girl.

I’ld talk to him,
Let him know how much it hurts,
When you loose the one you’ve loved,
Cause she’s taking you for a ride,
And everything you’ve had turns to custard.

If I were a girl,
I couldn’t turn off my phone,
Tell everyone it’s my life,
So they wouldn’t think I wasn’t alone.

I’d put myself first,
And dictate the rules as I go,
Cause, as the boss, I know he’d be faithful,
Sleeping alone, waiting for me to come home.

If I were a girl
I don’t think I could understand,
How it feels to love a man.
I swear I’d be a better girl.
